Filmed on the north fork of long island, “To God’s Ear” follows the unlikely friendship of two teen girls facing trauma and grief as they find trust and the healing power of caring for a special horse.

An Independent film by veteran writer/director Stan Schofield whose chance meeting with a beautiful horse and his curiosity about the healing power of animals, helped bring this film to life! Stan brings his care, creativity, and soul to every frame of this inspiring movie.

The film is story of love and resilience about two broken, grieving families in search of redemption. As the story unfolds, it explores the unique relationship between humans and horses through the lens of connection, healing  and mutual trust. Stan and his team hope to bring attention to the impact of trauma on teens and the healing power of equine therapy.

Filmed on location the film is cinematically quiet and intimate. Director Stan Schofield lets the scenes breathe, mirroring the slow, deliberate work of a majestic horse and a broken human heart.
